Woodville (population 1977) is located on the scenic Portage River
in Sandusky County, Ohio, approximately 18 miles southeast of
Toledo and 15 miles west of Fremont on U.S. Route 20 and State
Route 105. The town is situated 20 minutes from the shores of Lake
Erie and its recreation facilities for boating, swimming, and fishing.
Woodville is due south of the Ohio Turnpike. Woodville has easy
access to Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, and Columbus. The community
is serviced by the Con Rail Railroad which links Toledo to Pittsburgh
The Village of Woodville is currently making improvements at the Water Treatment Plant. At this time we are NOT softening our water, however fluoridating and chlorinating the water continues. Although hardened water reduces soap sudsing/lathering and may produce a chemical odor, it is NOT harmful to consume.
We anticipate this temporary change in operation to last until January 22nd.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions and/or concerns.
